The Studio
Crew
Chris is so happy and proud of everyone who made this project happen. Chris has directed stage and film before, and was thrilled to direct the wonderful talent that makes up The Studio. Much love to friends, family, and special curly haired person.
Hi, my name's Jeremy. I was the Director of Photography on The Studio. I love being on set all on its own, but with such a loving cast, hard-working crew, and the bounty of smiles and jokes in-between being productive, my love for the craft rose to new levels. Outside of The Studio, I manage a video production business called Smart Yeti Studios (www.smartyetistudios.com) and work as the cinematographer for PubHouse Productions.
Chad grew up in rural Mississippi before the internet and discovered filmmaking in Tennessee at the turn of the century. Today, he proudly calls Chicago his home and is a member of PubHouse Productions. On The Studio, Chad designed the lighting, created the opening, and performed the color correction--all while having a tremendous amount of fun with an amazing group of people.
Smyra Yawn moved to Chicago in 2011 after graduating from Florida State University where she produced The Performance Kitchen, two summer festivals of experimental theatre. Her Chicago credits include Five Lesbians Eating a Quiche with The New Colony, both at the NY Fringe and Off-Broadway. She also assistant stage managed Quiche with Chicago Commercial Collective. Her film work includes unit production managing the short film THE WALLET and The Studio!
Jon has been coaching and performing improvisation for over 11 years. He holds a doctorate in business psychology and currently runs his own consulting company that utilizes improvisation workshops to build leadership development. He has also worked at Public House Theater, and other theaters in the Chicago area in various tech roles. He is thrilled to be a part of The Studio crew!
Sara has an extensive literary background and is using her love of narrative to transform stories from the page to the screen. As a recent transplant to Chicago, she is thrilled to have received the opportunity to help create The Studio with a gifted cast and gracious crew.
Brad is thrilled to be a part of The Studio! He's also a Chicago native who has been working in both the film and live theatre industries for the past decade. He's currently the Director of Operations at The Public House Theatre and Audio Producer for Pub House Productions. When his job running The Public House Theatre occasionally allows him to leave the building, he enjoys working on film projects as audio and technical support and other "behind-the-scenes" roles.
Matt Griffo is a Chicago based musician and comedian. He’s been featured on FunnyorDie, BuzzFeed, and YouTube. An electric music-comedy performer on piano and ukulele. Griffo’s surprise twists turn serious issues into satirical romps of joy.
